Kingston Healthcare Company offers 14 senior living communities across the United States, providing independent and assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and memory care services. With a dedicated team of thousands of healthcare professionals and aides, Kingston Healthcare ensures quality care for residents across its senior living communities, rehabilitation centers, and memory care homes.
Healthcare requires a lot of printing. Kingston, for example, was printing around 300,000 pages of documents each month, relying on print servers at each location. However, in 2021, the PrintNightmare vulnerability turned print servers into a security risk.
Without print servers, Kingston’s IT team had to configure each device manually. Whenever an employee needed printer access, a technician had to install the necessary software and set up the connection.
The IT team handled up to six print-related helpdesk tickets daily, which made the installation process time-consuming for administrators and inconvenient for users—especially those who traveled between locations.
