As part of our new security initiatives, there will be a few new requirements at CKO:

  1. Use the lobby entrance Monday-Thursday mornings. This will be where you will pick up your name badge and swag on Monday and also where you’ll find breakfast each morning.
  2. Wear your badge at all times. Please wear your CKO badge throughout the entire week. Not only will this help you get to know more names, but it will also help keep the event limited to those officially invited to attend.
  3. Outside door access will be restricted. To enter the building, only three doors will be accessible—the main lobby doors, the main employee entrance (closest to the parking lot by the garage doors), and the covered parking lot door. However, you’ll be able to exit from all the doors.
  4. Please don’t hold the door open for or allow access for anyone not wearing a CKO badge. Direct anyone without to the lobby or other designated entrances for check-in.

Thursday evening activity

Galactic Extravaganza

Get ready for an evening that will be out of this world. Join us for dinner, drinks, and futuristic performances sure to transport you beyond.

  • When and where is the Galactic Extravaganza? Thursday evening from 6:00-9:00 PM at headquarters in the main gymnasium.
  • Will dinner be provided? Yes, dinner, drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
  • How should I dress? We highly encourage attendees to come dressed in their favorite space-inspired ensemble. Think of your favorite characters from the big screen, like Star Wars, Star Trek, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Or draw from any part of our vast galaxy like the planets, stars, space explorers, extraterrestrials, etc. A prize will be awarded to the universally best-dressed attendee.
  • What is the entertainment for the evening? Multiple acts ranging from an LED fiber optic dance performance to a futuristic LED laser show.
  • Will prizes be given out? If so, how are they earned? Yes, prizes will be given out. There will be raffle prizes with ways to earn tickets throughout CKO as well as prizes for the person voted best-dressed at the Thursday night Galactic Extravaganza.

*This event is for in-person attendees only.

Travel

  • Flights: Employees are responsible for booking their own flights. We recommend booking as soon as possible and at least 3-4 weeks in advance for the best rates. Flights are available to both Las Vegas and St. George–we ask that you compare rates and select the most reasonable option in coach class only.
  • Transportation: Rental cars are only available if at least double occupancy per vehicle exists. Attendees must coordinate shared rental cars themselves; we will not be assigning groups. Single travelers flying into Las Vegas can book individual reservations on the St. George Shuttle from Harry Reid International Airport to Vasion HQ. Travelers will then have to take an Uber or Lyft from the shuttle drop-off to their hotel. Visitors are responsible for coordinating ground transportation to and from the office and activities throughout CKO, either by rental car, another employee with a vehicle, or Uber and Lyft.
  • Hotels: A block of rooms is reserved at three neighboring hotels. Individual attendee reservation information will be sent closer to the event, including which of the following hotels you’ll be staying at:

Hyatt Place – 1819 S 120 E, St. George, UT 84790

Holiday Inn – 1890 Crosby Wy, St. George, UT 84790

Hilton Garden Inn – 1731 S Convention Center Dr, St. George, UT 84790

Fairfield Inn St. George – 1660 S Convention Center Dr, St. George, UT 84790

*All hotels offer a complimentary breakfast.

FAQs

What dates are CKO? When do I need to be in St. George?

CKO week is January 22-26. Traveling employees must be in St. George by the end of the day on Sunday, January 21, and are expected to stay through Friday afternoon. Hotel stays will be provided Sunday afternoon-Saturday morning.

How does this year's CKO structure differ from past years?

CKO training, meetings, and breakout sessions will span all five days. Rather than two full days of back-to-back company-wide presentations, this year’s CKO will be broken down into morning presentations and afternoon breakout sessions.

The updated structure gives attendees the opportunity for more specialized, interactive learning.

What is the dress code?

Business casual is ideal for CKO sessions and team breakouts. Refer to the ‘Activities’ section and your assigned activity for recommended wear for Thursday afternoon activities.

Do I need to dress up for the Galactic Extravaganza?

Yes, you’re highly encouraged to dress in your favorite space-inspired attire. There will be a best-dressed prize awarded.

What is the weather like in January?

The average temperature in St. George in January varies between a high of 49.1°F (9.5°C) and a low of 32.5°F (0.3°C). A coat is recommended for the evenings and nights.

Can I bring my spouse or guest?

CKO activities and meetings are for employees only.

How do I get reimbursed for my travel expenses?

All receipts for travel reimbursements will need to be submitted through the expense report system, Fyle, and coded to the event CKO 2024.

Your manager will approve expenses, and we ask all managers to ensure CKO expenses are within reasonable limits.

How will I know what breakout sessions to attend?

Attendees will receive an email prior to CKO detailing their individual breakout schedule. We recommend saving the schedule to your phone for quick access.

Are the breakout sessions mandatory? Breakout sessions are mandatory for all attendees.

They are designed to facilitate networking, meeting new people outside of your department, and learning about important product features that will not be covered on the main stage

What do I need for breakout sessions?

Please bring your fully-charged laptop and mobile device. Charging outlets will be limited, and you will need both a laptop and a mobile device for these interactive sessions.
