Vasion Output provides a completely driverless printing experience from your back-end systems, taking documents built in those systems and sending them to the label printer. Back-end printing refers to printing that originates from a system rather than a user. These are your electronic medical record systems (EMRs) like Epic, enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs) like SAP, and even the homegrown systems from your own organization. Conversion To Label Print-Ready File Formats
But how does Output print without drivers? When a job is received, Output automatically converts the documents originating from your back-end systems to a print-ready format for your label printers. Output converts PDFs, PNGs, text files, and any other common format automatically to the Zebra Print Language (ZPL). If your documents are already in a label print-ready format, Vasion has a passthrough method that accounts for that, supporting any label printers in your fleet, like Zebra, TSC, or Citizen, without issue.
