ST. GEORGE, UT—December 11, 2018—PrinterLogic, a leading innovator in enterprise print management software solutions, today announced that Printer Installer, a robust, cost-effective, scalable and feature-rich print management solution, has been verified as Citrix Ready®.
The Citrix Ready program helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking and cloud computing solutions from Citrix Systems, Inc. Printer Installer has completed a rigorous verification process to ensure compatibility with Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops, providing confidence in joint solution compatibility.
“As a member of the Citrix Ready program, we are able to offer customers intelligent solutions that combine our Printer Installer solution with Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops,” said Garrett Helmer, senior vice president, Channels. “This offering clearly demonstrates our commitment to work closely with trusted partners, in order to provide the highest quality experience for our customers.”
The Citrix Ready program makes it easy for customers to identify complementary products and solutions that can enhance Citrix environments. Customers can be confident that Printer Installer has successfully passed a series of tests established by Citrix, and can be trusted to work effectively with Citrix Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops in order to address all Citrix printing-related issues by converting printers to centrally managed direct IP printing, thereby eliminating print servers as well as unnecessary WAN traffic.
Printer Installer enables Citrix organizations to further eliminate complex printer deployment scripts and GPOs. These cumbersome methods are replaced by the Printer Installer client and the automatic printer deployment assignments created in the admin console. This unique combination gives admins full control over printer driver assignments—which can utilize either native printer drivers or the Citrix Universal Print Driver—while empowering end users with the ability to identify and install nearby printers using the Self-service Installation Portal. And this is possible regardless of whether end users are equipped with zero, thin or thick clients to access their Virtual Apps applications or Virtual Desktops VDI.
