Are legacy output management systems sabotaging your cloud migration? You’re not alone. Many organizations find themselves shackled to outdated systems, feeling the mounting pressure to modernize and incorporate the power of AI, with good reason. Simply maintaining these systems can cost an organization almost a 15% budget increase every year.
With terabytes of sensitive information locked within EHR, ERP, and CRM systems, safeguarding its integrity and security has never been more vital. So how can your organization actually scale, protect, and leverage this data—without constant troubleshooting, custom coding, and inflexible processes?
Relying on legacy systems isn’t just a risk—it’s a roadblock. Keep reading to uncover the challenges of traditional output management software and explore how Output Automation provides a powerful alternative that actually eliminates maintenance, downtime, and inefficiencies.
Ready to Transform Your Output Management Systems?
What Is Output Management?
Output management (OM) software oversees document flows and print jobs within an organization. While this sounds straightforward, many of these systems are built on legacy, on-premise architecture and mired in manual processes that are inefficient and cumbersome. Output management encompasses all of the similar pains of dealing with print servers and manually managing tasks to direct, distribute, and archive documents.
Typical OM offerings include:
Disconnected print infrastructure and applications
On-premise servers forcing you to manage redundancy, backups, and disaster recovery
Custom coding and manual workarounds
Inflexible and limited routing engines
Disparate data, tracking, and reporting across multiple tools
These archaic systems not only hinder productivity but also impact overall business performance, speed, and scalability
